My Bridal Makeup Meeting
I take your wedding makeup very seriously. Once we have arranged a time to meet to discuss your bridal makeup needs, we will go over every details of your wedding day. This is an excellent time for you to gather a few but important materials to help me visualize your look.
Items to bring to the meeting;
- Photograph of your wedding dress.
- Tear sheets (pages from magazines) that shows the style of makeup and hair you desire.
- Wedding Board (For more details, check out this article.)
It’s All In The Details
What I am looking for from you is the details of your wedding theme. Who designed your dress? What style is your dress? What kind of fabric? (Shiny, matte, texture, etc…) What color is your dress? Will you be wearing a veil?
Additional information such as the overall color scheme for flowers, bridesmaid’s dresses, tuxedo color will help me coordinate the colors for your makeup. Will your hair be up or down? Will you be coloring your hair? Highlights, lowlights, color gloss? Are you having it styled at the salon or is your hair stylist working with you at home or in a hotel or at the event location?
It’s All About You
Every little detail counts, and the more I know, the better I can visualize how beautiful you will look. I also want to know from you what your usual makeup routine is. Are you a minimalist, structured, colorful? What colors do you use regularly? Do you prefer metallic makeup or matte textures?
All this and more will be covered during our meeting. This meeting can run anywhere from a half hour to two hours. During this meeting, we will also set up a date and time for your next step, My Bridal Makeup Design.
