The First Step For My Bridal Makeup

First of all, let me say “Congratulations!” on your engagement.

I am sure by now you must have a million things on your mind and feeling a little anxious dealing with all these details.  I am pleased to tell you that the first step to your bridal makeup is already done.  I am here to take care of all the details of your bridal makeup.

You already have a vision of your wedding day look.  Before we can get into that, what I need from you is to inform me of a few important details so that I can get a better idea of your wedding day.

When is the wedding?

It is important to know the date of your wedding so I can clear my schedule to make myself available to apply your makeup.  Even if you are not sure of the date itself, you should still contact me in advance so we can prepare your look.

What time of the day is your wedding?

There is a big difference between a morning or afternoon wedding and an evening wedding as an evening wedding may be a bit more dramatic.  This will help me ensure you have the right makeup to shine on your wedding day.

Where is the wedding?

Whether the wedding in within York, Adams, Lancaster county or outside of this area, this will help me make any travel arrangements.

Will you need me to stay until the ceremony is completed?

Each bride has their own preference.  You may only need me for makeup application or stay till after the wedding to do some light touchups before your reception.  Some brides prefer that I stay till the cutting of the cake at the reception.

Will you be changing your dress at the reception?

This is important to know since you will want to look your best in your wedding dress but if you are going to change your dress, I will make sure you look your best for the reception as well.

How many people in your Bridal Party will require makeup services for as well?

It is important to me to make sure you look your best.  While I do offer additional makeup services for mothers of the bride and groom, bridesmaids, and flower girls, if the time frame is narrow, I will arrange for assistance in making sure everyone in the Bridal Party receive professional makeup.

How large is the ceremony and reception?

This will help me better understand the size of your wedding.

If you know the answers to these questions, please feel free to contact me to arrange a time to meet.  You are also invited to review my Bridal Makeup FAQs page for additional information for some of the most common bridal questions I have received.

In the meantime, please join me as we move on to the next step of your wedding day makeup, My Bridal Makeup Meeting.
