Tips for Your Wedding Day Look
Since it is your dream wedding, you want to be aware of a few things so that you can enjoy the look you desire.
Facial Skin Care
As a skin care expert, I recommend that you do not get a facial less than one week before your wedding day. The reason for this is some people may experience blemishes after a facial since toxins and impurities are brought to the surface of the skin. It will also allow for some extra time for any extraction to heal.
I do recommend using a physical scrub a few days prior to your wedding day to remove any dry flaky area on your face. I also like to recommend a purifying mask for oily skin and hydrating mask for dry or sensitive skin a few days beforehand.
If you are going to wax your upper lips, the sides of your face, or legs and bikini area, consider doing them at least a week before your wedding date. This will be dependent on your usual waxing schedule but should not be done no less than three days before the day of your wedding. This will allow for any irritation to subside.
During the Bridal Makeup Design, I will be shaping your eyebrows. I encourage you to maintain them up to your wedding. Ideally, you should tweeze them one or two days prior to the wedding date.
Hair Coloring/Styling
I encourage you to consider doing your haircut/coloring at least three weeks before your wedding date. This will give your hair some time to look natural which is an important feature that compliments your bridal makeup.
Tanning
If you prefer to have a tanned look, I recommend that you do not visit a tanning salon less than four days prior to your wedding date. This will allow time for any redness to subside. If you do take the time to tan, I recommend that you use sunscreen while you tan.
If you opt for a sunless tanning product, I would be glad to recommend one that matches your skin complexion. I highly recommend you try this several weeks before your wedding date if you have never used this product before. It is not for everyone but we want to make sure you like the way your skin looks on your wedding day. If you are not sure, please contact me.
